Douglas Silverstone is Director of Technology at Southern Housing, with a particular interest in AI, digital transformation and how housing associations need to evolve for the next generation of residents and colleagues. He combines hands-on technology leadership with board roles as a Non-Executive Director at Cambridge Housing Society and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee at AbilityNet. Douglas writes about the Social CIO, his perspective that technology should ultimately be judged by the difference it makes to people's lives, not simply by systems delivered or money saved. He is particularly interested in ensuring AI-driven transformation is productive, inclusive, accessible and centred on better resident outcomes.
